The Easiest Way to Teach Yourself to Can

Do you love the idea of canning but don’t have anyone to teach you? Or you don’t want to buy another course someone on the internet is trying to sell you? I don’t blame you. (I am you.)
I loved the idea of canning and my garden was doing really well. SO well that my freezer was getting too full and I needed to start giving my produce away or learn a new method of preserving.
My parents never did any canning and neither did any of my relatives nearby. Although I’m sure I could’ve found an old lady somewhere willing to teach me, I like figuring things out on my own. And I didn’t have a lot of free time to spend hours at someone’s house learning on top of paying for a babysitter.
The first thing I tried was a water bath canner because that seemed less scary (and cheaper) than the alternative that was pressure canning…but let me tell you, regular water bath canning is still scary. That’s a lot of boiling water and slippery jars. I did not love that process.
Eventually I learned about this electric canner that did pressure AND water bath canning all in one. It was just what I was looking for! And not the least bit scary!! One of my favorite features is not having to open the lid while the water is boiling. You put the empty jars in once to warm up. The second time you put them in full with lids on. The third time you take off the lid is when the water has cooled down and your perfect canned jars can come out.
This canner comes with EVERYTHING you need! (minus jars and produce and water and tongs…the easy stuff) This canner has everything else! I LOVE that it has recipes. It tells you exactly how to prepare each fruit, vegetable, meat etc. Each recipe says if it should be pressure or water bath canned and the canning time. Then there is also the handiest, waterproof step by step instruction guide so you know every step to take. No gathering any information from conflicting sources, just reliable instructions that work specifically for this machine. Every recipe I have canned has been perfect!
I love canning because of this canner. This is the exact one I have and convince all my family and friends to use.
Don’t buy a course. You don’t need a class. You can do this all on your own! You will get faster and more confident the more times you do it, like anything. Try this canner and then report back that you love it as much as me!

P.S. I should mention that this canner is FDA approved!
